US Economy Grew 4.4% in Q3 2025, Final Commerce Department Report Confirms
The Bureau of Economic Analysis released its final reading of third-quarter GDP on Thursday, showing the US economy grew at an annualized rate of 4.4% in the period including July, August and September.[1] This figure topped expectations of economists polled by LSEG, who estimated 3.3% GDP growth for the third quarter.[1] It represents the fastest growth rate in two years.[1]
The report also indicated real GDP rose at an annualized rate of 3.8% in the second quarter, following a contraction of 0.6% in the first quarter.[1] Across the first three quarters of 2025, the US economy grew at a 2.5% annualized rate.[1]
